The Austrian Internet Championship 2020

On Sunday, October 4, the Austrian Chess Federation organised the first Austrian Chess Internet Championship, an Open Tournament and a Women's Tournament. Both tournaments were round-robins with twelve players, who had qualified for the final in four preliminaries and one intermediate round. The participants of both tournaments – with the exception of Stefan Kindermann and Elisabeth Happala, who both do not live in Austria and could not travel to the tournament due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic – stayed at the Hotel Zeitgeist during the tournament, but used their private computers to play on the Playchess server.

Favourite in the open tournament was Austria's number one, Markus Ragger. He started with 3½/4, but then lost against Dominik Horvarth in round five. In round nine Ragger suffered another defeat, this time against Stefan Kindermann, and in the end Ragger finished with 5½/11 in the middle of the field. Throughout the tournament he struggled with disconnections, the cause of which could not be determined quickly but which severely affected his games.

In the penultimate round Stefan Kindermann had taken the lead with a win against Lukas Breneis.

The direct encounter between Kindermann and his pursuer Blohberger in the last round ended abruptly when Kindermann lost a piece after a mouse slip. He wanted to capture one of Blohberger's pieces, but Kindermann's queen only made it to the square in front of the piece, Kindermann wanted to capture – and this mouse slip decided the championship in favour of Blohberger. Kindermann finished second, Valentin Dragnev became third.

Route 1 (Chinese: 一號幹線) is a major artery in Hong Kong that runs in a generally north-south direction, connecting Aberdeen with Shatin.

The route is heavily congested, notably on the Canal Road viaduct that links the Aberdeen Tunnel with the Cross-Harbour Tunnel in Causeway Bay.[1] Route 1 continues to serve as the most direct route from the north shore of Hong Kong Island to the Southern District. The road travels across the harbour and runs through the middle of Kowloon and continues heading north into the New Territories.

History[edit]

Mira 1 5 0 M

Route 1 was established in January 2004 when the third generation of route numbers came into use, replacing the old system which had been used since 1974. Certificates studio 1 3 – templates for pages.

Route[edit]

The route begins in the south at Aberdeen Praya Road which continues as Wong Chuk Hang Road until reaching the Aberdeen Tunnel. The traffic runs on the Canal Road viaduct after exiting the tunnel in Happy Valley. The viaduct descends to the ground level passed the intersection at Gloucester Road for Route 4 to Tin Hau, North Point and Eastern Harbour Crossing.

Traffic then crosses the Cross-Harbour Tunnel into Kowloon and keeps heading north along Princess Margaret Road and Waterloo Road. The stretch of Waterloo Road between Hereford Road and Lancashire Road in Kowloon Tong is the only section of the route that is not controlled access. Traffic then climbs a steep incline to reach the Lion Rock Tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, the road skirts the border of Tai Wai. The route becomes an expressway in Sha Tin for the remaining 3 km. Traffic has an option to merge to Route 9 in Sha Tin or branch off onto Route 2 for Ma On Shan.[2]
